Samsung finally announced most anticipated smartphone this year the Galaxy S3 and many tech bloggers feel disappointed and claim that there is no true innovation in this flagship Android handset but the these guys are clueless. Here’s why.

Android Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz
It’s the first smartphone in the market to use Corning Gorilla Glass 2, which is 20% thinner than its predecessor and still able to withstand at least 121 pounds of pressure (breaking point of the glass). While there will be more phones to follow, the still fact remains and Samsung Galaxy S3 is the first phone to use this material in practice.
Second thing is Android modification, TouchWiz that now has many great features that we haven’t seen elsewhere. First feature I would highlight is SmartStay, which cleverly keeps the display from timing out by using the front-facing camera to detect when you’re looking at the screen. Scary but it’s very nice feature to have. The second is S Voice that is famous Siri rival but the main difference is that you can fully control your phone with voice, this even includes unlocking, snoozing, adjust the volume, and other things where Siri falls behind.
Next feature I would like to highlight is Exynos 4212 – a quad-core processor. It is one of the most powerful and efficient mobile device processors out there and it’s made by Samsung. Based on how powerful quad core processors are these days, I think it’s the end of the battle and now we can build better services, improve efficiency as performance is already enough for devices with screen size up to 5-inches
Previously I wrote about Samsung Galaxy S3 display and why it doesn’t suck and if you don’t want to read the whole article I can sum things up:
It’s not the sharpest display in the market but it has the best colors, brightness, contrast and market leading power efficiency. While it’s huge 4.8-inch 720p display it still allows surpassing competitors in terms of battery life and we all know how important it is for today’s smartphones.
It’s not important for many smartphone users to have huge storage for a smartphone, still Samsung think different. Galaxy now offers the market leading memory capacity. With help from microSD card you can get up to 96GB (64GB built in + 32 GB microSD card).
Samsung Galaxy S3 is one out of few phones out there that uses near field communication (NFC) which is predicted to be used in many services this include payments, identification and file sending. Currently it is used exclusively for file sharing but in the sky is the limit for this tech.
I only highlighted a feature that makes Galaxy S3 so special. So if you still believe that there is no innovation there, please leave a comments bellow and we will discuss it further.
