This week is full with Samsung’s Tablet announcements, recently reported Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus N announcement for German market where original Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus where banned due to copyright infringement.
Now Samsung announced even cooler device – Ice Cream Sandwich powered Galaxy Tab 2. It is original Galaxy Tab successor powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and spiced with latest and greatest Android 4.0 with TouchWiz
The screen will remain the same as for Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus which means 1024×600 resolution PLS (plane-to-line-switching) LCD display, which offers better viewing angles than regular LCDs. Samsung’s Tablet will be sold with 3 different storage options – 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB this storage will come along with SD card slot for another 32GB of storage for photos and videos captured with 3-megapixel camera in the back and a VGA-quality Webcam in the front.

ICS powered Galaxy Tab 2 will be available in both 3G and WiFi varieties and will start selling in UK at the beginning of March and later of it will reach global customers as well. Pricing is not yet confirmed but first rumors we heard are a bit surprising as this tabs Wi-Fi-only version prices ranges from $419 to $450, while the cost of the Wi-Fi+3G version varies from $523 to $568. If these prices are rumored right then Samsung will have hard time selling this device because its main competitor iPad with 16GB Wi-Fi only iPad sells for $499. Prices might feel in the same level but if we take into consideration that Apple iPad has larger screen and more powerful components than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 and not to mention popularity of this tablet.
Personally I very much look forward to see Samsung’s Ice Cream Sandwich powered table, not much I want to buy one but I want to test Android flavor in combination with Samsung well designed hardware.
Are you one of potential Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 buyers or you are looking to grab iPad 3 which is rumored to launch next month with twice as good screen than its predecessor was proud of?
